Grand Cru Consulting Ltd has three distinct operations:

The first was to provide unique corporate and marketing/sales strategies for the wine and spirits industry…including work on mergers and acquisitions.

Clients for this service included:

– Diageo Plc.

– SPI Group

– Stock Spirits Group

– The Drinks Business Publications

– IP Bartenders

The second was work within private equity to manage current companies and to seek out new acquisitions.

– Oaktree Capital Management was the principal client and work was done on new acquisitions as well as existing Oaktree companies:

– Bavaria Yachtbau – Chairman

– Panrico Bakeries – Board of Directors

– Stock Spirits Group – Chairman

The third area of focus is theatre production. Jack was a founding board member of National Angels LTD. Which for 15 Years co-produced with the National Theatre transfers from the South Bank to London’s West End and/or New York.

Plays included: Jumpers By Tom Stoppard, Rock ‘N’ Roll By Tom Stoppard, Democracy by Michael Frayn, History Boys by Alan Bennett, War Horse, People Places and Things, One Man Two Guvs.

Jack has now set up his own operation (with the closure of National Angels). Plays co-invested in for West End transfer include:

Hangmen (Royal Court), The Ferryman (Royal Court), Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (Young Vic), Labour of Love (Headlong), , Killer Joe (Trafalgar Studio), Pinter at The Pinter, The Height of the Storm, (Wyndham’s Theatre), Betrayal (Pinter Theatre), Sweat (Donmar Theatre), Fleabag (Broadway and London). Cyrano de Bergerac (Playhouse), Leopoldstadt (Wyndhams)

This final operation is fast becoming the major activity of Grand Cru.
